It hardly seems possible

that this hunk of chub could scream himself hoarse,

but it's all true, every bit of it!

Thank-you Note

To the Makers of Tillamook Chocolate Peanut Butter Ice Cream:

You have made my summer! I was housebound for most of the summer, protecting my baby from West Nile Virus, sunburns, germy kids, ect. and would have to say that your ice cream made life grand. A bowl of your goodness, and sitting on the front porch at dusk was pretty much awesome! I have had a lifetime of researching ice cream, including a high school/college career of working at an ice cream factory, and give you top honors. Here's to hoping you keep going on sale...

Hugs and Kisses

24/7

My cousin Val recently blogged about what she would do if she stayed out all night long. Well not to one-up you Val, but I recently DID stay up all night. You might be thinking what can a person who lives in a town named after an ancient prophet do in the wee hours? Fasten your seatbelt and prepare for a wild ride.

10 p.m. Read a book

11 p.m. Peep 2 started crying about a stomachache. Spent the next hour trying to calm her down

12:30 p.m. Peep 3 wakes up. Feed and change Peep 3. Peep 1 awakes to see what is going on, spend time putting her back to sleep.

1-3 a.m. Holding Peep 2 and listen to her moan about stomach, also sat on bathroom floor with her for some of that time.

4 a.m. This is when it starts to get exciting and somewhat gross, stomachache is gone! Now have lots of sheets to wash, carpet and bathroom to clean.

4:30 a.m. First load of laundry started, still scrubbing the bathroom. Figure since I am already started might as well clean the whole thing.

6:00 a.m. Two loads of laundry going. Carpet wet but clean again. Peeps 1 and 3 now waking up. Time to get breakfast started. (By starting breakfast I mean pouring the cereal into bowls.)

There you have it, one crazy night with no sleep at all. Not quite as glamorous as a night in NYC but hey, it's all I've got. For the record I never want to stay up all night again.

I'm Blaming this on YouTube

While driving to the Sev for a slurpee yesterday...

Peep 1: Mommy who is that singing on the radio?

Me: Cat Stevens

Peep 1: Oh, I thought it was Justin Beiber.

Oh, Peep 1 I feel as if I have failed you.

He is the Opposite of Everything I've Ever Known

He is here! The third little peep has come to stay, and none of us can get enough of him. He weighed almost double the other two peeps, has hair, and can be awake without screaming. It is completely different than our other newborn experiences, (trust me and that poor guy who lived in the apartment above us when Peep 1 was born when I say that is a good thing.) Wish I had the energy to write more, but I am tired, and have some more laying around to do.

My Personal Groundhog Day Terror

I have a re-occurring nightmare. The kind where you wake up in the middle of the night with your heart pounding, sweaty palms, and feelings of anxiety coursing through you. The dream is pretty close to the same every time. I am going to a college class, and find out that the final exam is being given, and for some reason I have not gone to class the whole semester, have no idea what the coursework is, and in many instances haven't even purchased the book. The thought keeps running through my head, "why didn't I go to class?"

It happened to me again last night. Only this time I was in High School, and as I am walking into the school suddenly realize that I have three projects due that day, and have done absolutely no work at all. I spent the rest of my dream panicking, trying to figure out how to get partial credit, attempting to prioritize the projects that need the most work, ect. ect. Same premise every time.

I realized a few months ago that I have these dreams when I am procrastinating something in my current non-going-to-school life. So today I am getting on the stick, cleaning those bathrooms I have been putting off, so hopefully when I sleep tonight I will actually graduate from high school.
